We are developing marine‑derived polysaccharides for skincare, with a focus on bioactivity, functional performance, and formulation‑ready design to support development of novel, effective skincare products.
WHY MARINE POLYSACCHARIDES
A promising class of bioactives with broad skincare relevance
Marine polysaccharides are structurally diverse, sulfated compounds found in seaweeds. They are widely studied for properties essential to advanced skincare, including matrix protection, superior hydration, and restorative performance in product formulations.
OUR PLATFORM
A regional biorefinery approach
We are building biorefinery systems to support the development of marine polysaccharides—fucoidan, laminarin, and alginate—from New England–grown seaweed, enabling consistent processing, future scalability, and a domestic supply chain for marine bioactives.
